Deception Of The Heart Poem by Patrick Joslin

Deception Of The Heart

Deception is the greed some lover's have

When one is in love, and yet afraid

To tell the truth for fear it will...

Be the end of the love she has found so dear.

Please forgive my deceptive heart;

I simply loved you so much from the start

Your gentle sweetness was so very new,

It carried me to heights I never new!

Think not of me to harshly,

For my heart still ache's...

Because I know my deceit did take,

All the trust you had in me.

If I could take your pain away,

I'd do it it the most kindness,

most gentleness way.

But all I can tell you is that I know

This heart of mine 'Honestly',

Misses you so.......
