Deep Blue Poem by Dan Brown

Deep Blue

Rating: 2.5

Standing. Right on the edge, looking
Out.
You scare me.
Your size, your strength, your mystery.
Like life really.
So full of contradictions.
Like life really.
You’re warm, yet cold,
New yet old.
Your tears can batter us, or silently weep,
You’re so shallow, and yet so deep.
We never know what hides beneath those
murky waves you protect yourself with.
There’s only one way to find out.
But…

I can’t swim.
