Deep Within Poem by Craig Saunders

Deep Within

Your silence cuts me,
it cuts me deeper than any words could
My heart burns with desire, but no direction

The devious deeds hurt me,
I am wounded,
though i am neither cause nor effect,
I am both

My heart lies on the ground in front of me,
Just out of reach, in your hands.

Confused are my thoughts,
incorrect are my words,
The truth is but blacked by the burning fire
held deep within my mind.

Now I stand here confused but happy,
So now i stay,
desperately trying,
brokenly crying,
foolishly hiding,
the bewilderment inside.
