Deep Within My Bones Poem by Edwin Tanguma

Deep Within My Bones

Deep Within My Bones

It was nice and sunny
And the winds were calm
I sipped on an iced tea
With lemony balm

I did not have crumpets
Nor did I eat scones
I just did not feel it
Deep within my bones

You see I'm not English
I'm a bloody Yank
Who's biggest fear is that
Our markets will tank

Thank God I'm retired
I really don't care
Donul Dump's a liar
With ugly blonde hair

I don't care much for him
He lies through his teeth
Will our country become
A wasteland or heath

Can we make it four years
Under Donul's reign
As far as I'm concerned
He'll always be vain

I may be moving South
If things go to pot
You'll not be reading much
From this polka dot
