Definition Of A Friend Poem by Eva Mae Witt

Definition Of A Friend

Definition of a Friend

Defining, talking about all the small things in life
Each individual will console each other without strife
Finding and accepting each other for what they are worth
In each and every aspect, even in dire straits even up north
Noting every word one may say or do, even the small things
Individuality should work both ways, should I sing
To one and all even the acquaintances, I meet along the way
Initially, everyone should have one good friend should I say
Only if only, some of those small-minded people can hold their own
Nothing on this big universal earth can keep friendships known

Oh! My beautiful mother used to say, some friendships come and go
Friendly reminder dear daughter, " A good friend will surely know

A great many people you meet may say they are your friend

Find yourself worth before you put your heart out. Acceptance
reaches far beyond the great divide, only you are the best for instance
in reality, friends may come and go, but family will last forever
Each individual in their loving hearts will know and never
not take you for granted and leave or ask or get mad for this will
Divide you as one of the kind and know that you are in God's Land of Hope!

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
These days I am thinking a great deal of my dear departed mother. Knowing how she raised me, keeps me well grounded. Since I lost the love of my life, I can't seem to find a real close friend to confide in my loss or even have a close kinship with even a friendly smile to keep me going on. Knowing that God does love me, just keeps me feel safe from harm.
