My Poet Friends Poem by Eva Mae Witt

My Poet Friends

Rating: 5.0

Going out with two friends Mitch and Neal my poet friends
I find we're all alike, we never have to pretend

We share inspiration, funnies, and passion as though
Our intellectual minds are intertwined I know

Inspiration comes when it happens at night or dawn
These poet friends of mine never have to pretend like

So many forgotten friends like the elusive Mike
Last night went out with two friends Mitch and Neal my best friends

We've shared inspiration, funnies when I'm down and out
Cause last night they made my heart sing all night and shout, shout!
