That dispels darkness and makes us wiser
Teaches us what is wrong and right
Leads to the path so secure and bright!

Poetry is a never failing friend
With us always in life gloomy or grand
With whom we share all our sorrow and happiness
That listens to us with tireless patience!

Poetry is a loving life partner
Who, like a shadow, deserts you never
An infinite source of divine pleasure
The sweetheart of your heart's rhythmic reservoir!
