Thank you for writing this! They've recently starting clearing out a small pine forest across the road from my house which just breaks my heart! It's my go to place for peace and comfort. Sad thing is that nobody wants to tell me why they are doing this! It's been there since my parents bought the house back in 1971! ! ! Needless cutting of trees. Saddens me greatly! ! !
