Deja Vu Poem by Abby Belmont

Deja Vu

Once upon a time not so long ago
This happened just like it does now
It is like you repeat yourself
I bet in a week you'll be hating her

So I ask what is it that you want now
You love me how?
You don't love me so do not lie
Say what you want but its not worth the try

Because this happened time and time again
So let the deja vu begin
Because it repeats all the time like before
What do you even want me for?

I thought you were true
But the lies they find their way thru
The little holes of your soul
Your heart has a dark lonley hole

She loves him but you love her
She loves you but can't stop the love for him
Is this something you can't see?
In the end we'll see that was meant to be

The deja vu you like to pull
Makes me feel like a fool
So don't even think about this again
Because now you're not even a friend

Your love for me was never true
You lie to me and to her too
But you lied like this and you know
The game your playing is a deja vu

Repeat repeat over and over
Again again moving on never
Somebody looks to be stuck in a rut
Boy doesn't that one suck

So the next time she doesn't choose you
I don't want to hear about it too
Tell the whole world
In your world I will never be your girl

The sweet talkin you like to do
The naughty gross things too
Don't mean a thing to me
And they never have can't you see?

Time and time passes by
And each time the same ol lie
By this time don't you see
That you use me

But I'm not your fall back
Because I don't have your back
Never had never will
Deja vu it can kill
