Democracy is a rule by majority.
It's not to silence the minority
With the strength of the majority.
Not that two wolves and a goat making menu.

The majority will have its way.
The minority must have its say.
Ethnicity and faiths must not play.
Debates be the base to find a way.

Dissents aren't the weeds to be uprooted.
The abolition of the slavery,
The untouchability and the Sati
Are the outcome of the seeds of the dissents.

Brutal majority does havoc.
The merit of the issue is sidelined.
What the majority propose is carried,
And what the minority wants is dropped.

Democracy must give equal rights
And equal distribution of resources
To all the citizens without prejudices.
No democracy is good without integrity.
