Demons Poem by Josh B.

Demons

Some People lead a life planning on going to heaven or hell...
they base their actions and decisions on which side of the rapture they wanna end up in.
I've been beaten down so badly I've become manipulative and crafty.
you'll never be able to read me exactly so let me inform you

as sad as it seems the wrath of God doesn't phase me.
I walk a different path, you don't need church to know how to act and behave decently.
Even churchgoers might not be saved
So I'm not scared of heavens wrath.
here is another newsflash, hell, there isn't a hell scarier than in my cell.
Now let me contradict that last statement, I have never been to jail...
To shed some light on that paradox
the cell is in my head every day and every night

My demons become stronger in the dark
only I can keep them at bay
if they some how some way escape
I've done it before I'm geared to put them away
but if i fail or give up, I'm used to the dark
Not even a Bic to spark
what do you say you up to play?
if not best not push me!
