Dented Forever Poem by David Oladipupo Olorunshola

Dented Forever

Let me be your candle light
That you may be my flame
Burning bright and blue
Bringing light to my darkness
That I may continue to burn
And not be put out
Your warmth encompasses
Bringing succour and comfort
Your gentle blue flame
Cast a shadow upon me
Giving me strength
And it brings joy to my inner,
That at your touch
I melted like the wax of a candle
Touching the core of my being
How long could I hold on
Before your flame destroys
My beauty and strength
Nothing of me is left
I am captured forever
Except to surrender to you;
Your beauty and charm
I am falling apart
As your love has dented me;
Dented me forever
