Departures Poem by Madelene Calalo

Departures

Where have you gone my precious one
I seek so far, but find you none.
Come back to me. I need you, hon.
I miss you now, my honey bun.

Where have you gone my only one
With only your memory, I search the tun.
Cheers to me! To the brandy I spun.
Alone with myself, insanity won.

Where have you gone my only precious one
You’ve left me here, so very lonesome.
And to pay for all the wrongs I’ve done.
My life, with you…. Away it’s gone.

Why have you gone my lovely one
Another day has just begun.
I look up to see the sun
Whose tears have now started to run.
