Depression Poem by Daniel Rangel

Depression

A tiny little seed nestled in my soul
Very quickly it started to fester and grow,
Wallowing in my pain and drowning in my sorrow,
I don't believe I will ever see tomorrow,
All alone in the darkness of my room,
I tear my self open and give myself wounds,
My quiet screams echo and resonate in the silence,
No light I can see to offer me guidance,
Over thinking everything and how I've made myself a fool
Life slowly rotting away in my emotional cesspool.
