Depression Poem by Spiro K

Depression

Rating: 5.0

I guess depression got me
It crawled under my skin
It killed all hope; infected me
Destroyed me from within

Depression's sadness owns me
It runs deep in my veins
It killed the man within me
And left a boy in pain

I'd ask you to forgive me
For what I am about to do
Please sit here and just cry with me
And tell me I love you

I'm waiting for a small sign
To save my empty soul
A heart that would be so kind
To close this bleeding hole

I'm not too good at saying this
By this, I mean goodbye
I know you'll tell me I'll be missed
But my day, has come to die

The devastating effect of depression has been very nicely narrated. The stanza that impressed me is: I'm waiting for a small sign To save my empty soul A heart that would be so kind To close this bleeding hole -A wonderful poem..Congrats..! !
