Depth Poem by Robert Sheridan

Depth

Entered a new dimension
Went inward – from an
outer surface; wasn’t the
height of my logic, but
rather the depth of my
conviction.

Wasn’t concerned about
my safety, only hers; it
seemed the chivalrous
thing to do – after all,
for all intent & purpose,
I do have a conscience.

Thank God for my
inhibiting sense of
what is & isn’t prudent;
Faithful to her – it’s a
strict & reverential
observance.

There’s no need to convince
myself, when I have an unshakable
belief in another person – there’s
no need for proof or evidence,
especially when she truly believes
in me.
