Desert Poem by Anthony Dover

Desert

Rating: 3.5

On and on I walked,
Out of memory,
Beyond time,
Through my mind,
And out the other side,
I walked until I could walk no more,
I awoke to nothing,
And nothing answered,
'There is no-one here but you.'
On I walked my weary footsteps,
Leaving footprints in the sand,
I walked until I became nothing too,
Then someone tapped me on the shoulder,
And said, ' We're behind you! '

This reminds me of a vision I seen once behind my eyes, one that took years to comprehend, yet was understood in a flash, both. Beautiful poem Anthony. Love always, catie :)
