Desert Of Zin Poem by Flavia Kuchenny

Desert Of Zin

She saw a world upside down
Like mercury between stones in the sea
A mirror, reflecting the trees above the ground
And she collapsed, down and down

Nature's confusion, she could understand,
Time had stopped, we stood on our heads
On the moist black velvet sand

Where she could finally see the concept of free
Otherwise, I would be her eyes,
the sun on her back, and the rising of night
in the Desert of Zin

Today, the sweet smell of the sea
dissolved through the air like a sigh
And the rain fell straight down
like ropes hanging from the sky

Will she someday be my wings, help me to fly?
Like she's promissed me, it's all in the realms of her mind
God, where is the answer
in the sea of memories she has left behind.
