Desire Poem by Adam Jeffries

Desire

With tightening spine and chilled flesh, my body anguishes yearning for your touch - desire.
Physically, emotionally, mentally, unconsciously, you draw me in, as a moth to a flame - desire.
I am stalked by your aura, both waking and while asleep, in all things I see your face - desire.
You are pure heat, flaming as if the sun, and I wish to be engulfed in your scorching fire - desire.
Can one being, one thing, be more important than life itself? ... desire.
