Desire Poem by Mary Rodriguez

Desire

Words can't describe the love I feel for you
Just know every word I say to you is true
Your love makes me feel whole
Isn't true love everyone's ultimate goal?
You stole my heart with just one look
I was caught just like a fish on a hook
There's no better match, than you and I
I am so happy, sometimes I cry
As another day ends and the sun sets
I give thanks for the day we first met
My love grows more and more each day
Without you, my heart would wither and decay
Trust in my love for you which has bestowed
I miss you so much, at times, I feel I may explode
You are my one and only desire
Every second with you my heart is set on fire
To hold you, kiss you and know you are mine
There's no better gift I could ever find
In your arms is where I want to be
When I'm with you, I'm free to be me
