Desired Perfection Poem by Samantha White

Desired Perfection

Rating: 4.0

O beautiful perfection for which I seek,
you leave me so light and feeling so weak.
In my stomach it seems there's a constant ache,
but this path to perfection I will not break.
Lying, hiding, and concealing,
the touch of a bone is such a wonderful feeling.
My flesh will slowly begin to vanish,
the desire to eat I struggle to banish.
A fallen angel with broken wings,
of being light as a feather she softly sings.
I listen and obey her every calling,
into this void of hunger I'm slowly falling.
No one understands the words I say,
Ana's identity I will never betray.
I laugh and smile like nothing's wrong,
while in my head is playing constantly Ana's song.
She is my love, my life, my every dream,
and she will never leave me so it would seem.
She's helping me make my dreams come true,
and she won't ever leave no matter what I do.
