Despair not Truth,
your assailants be many,
their tactics be crude,
effective as death,
their motive be sinister,

despair not Truth,
your skin be tainted,
deliberated mudsling and stones,
your radiance be faded,
off in valiant inglorious stories,

despair not Truth,
buried deep in news,
lost to sight, lost to memory,
beyond reach of revealing waves,
covered in time, births and violent dust,

despair not Truth,
you are never truly lost,
for so seldom than never,
caked footprints in dried waters,
speak of giants gone unknown of.
