Destiny By Gio Masserati

Destiny

Pain and Sorrow
glimpses of tomorrow
He knew our Destiny

Music and Romance
butterflies at your glance
You knew our Destiny

Look high above you
realize what he knew
with out you
with out me
there would be no Destiny

We don't deserve His grace
every child of human race
He made our Destiny

He could build no steeple
without imperfect people
He builds our Destiny

Look high above you
realize what he knew

with out you
with out me

there would be no Destiny

Destiny

He knew our Destiny
You knew our Destiny
He made our Destiny
He builds our Destiny

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
So, I wrote this poem, Destiny, (originally as a poem) at Hamburger Hamlet in Brentwood, California. I used to go there to write for some hours in the back area in the right side booth. As I was letting the words flow for the second half of Destiny, a phenomenon happened to me I had never experienced or taken seriously...the notes and music poured out over my poem and a song was created that day. I didn't even know how to write notes correctly...just had sang for years at churches and choirs. realize now some people are naturals and sing, or play by ear...guess that would be me. All in all, I have sang this creation at my baby sister's wedding, other friends weddings, funerals, and parties. Other songs came after Destiny, but never as special or powerful of an experience as the first time. Love Destiny the most. Gio M
