Devil's Clone Poem by Wendy Bureau

Devil's Clone

Rating: 3.7

Domineering demise
Man of wicked disguise
Pretend lamb of show
Hidden, his sickly flow

Squeezing, choking terror
A master, without error
He speaks calm, forked of tongue
Simplistic words of young

Slowly earning victim trust
Taste of evil, longing lust
Works hard, to get them alone
Transformed, now Devil's clone

Prayers screamed of desperate plight
Echo deaf, this tragic night
Expert revealed of tortured hands
Evil skill, sought out demands

Another life falls dying, dormant
Unto the dark abyss of torment
Red sea of flesh and blood
Gulping down, this wretched flood

Innocence, so tragically lost
Victim of violence, vicious cost
Mortal life, snuffed, extinguished
Sacred soul, from body, relinquish

yes! this is an amazing poem! ! I love the vivid, visceral images. They are full of raw emotion, that was very clear to me. I feel poetry as a whole, is a putting of human emotion down on paper, and you do it quite well. I found a interesting poem recently and I feel you might enjoy it. It is called Howl by allen ginsberg
