O' darkened shadow'd silhouette
Concise, precise and wise
Tiptoeing through existence
Draped in translucent disguise
Disguised delusions of grandeur
Mistaken by mistakes
A promised personality
Consumed, eaten by false traits
Traits condemned by society
Cradled by sufficient hands
A turning point, a milestone?
An unjust act, no reprimand
Reprimand, reprehend or represent
To whom, or what, and why?
My confusion, postpartum delusion
Concealed, unrevealed a silent cry
Cry upon dead and deafened ears
Like Braille without fingertips
Exhaustion spills from tear ducts
Whilst red wine, my mouth, it sips
Sipping, savagely swallowing
Gluttony, a deadly sin
Repulsive, repugnant puking
Luscious lips, curled in grin
O' darkened shadow'd silhouette
Concise, precise and wise
Reveal unto me your secrets
Shed your skin disguise
This is a very, very good poem with great rhythm and rhyme. I don't say that much. I gave it a 9 because some people might not fully grasp its meaning. To transmit meaning without obscurity seems like something that so many either have a hard time doing or they just don't believe they should. I shall argue to my dying breath that they should. Because, if they don't, they run the real risk that they will leave nothing behind. Is there a worse fate for an artist? I think not. Greenwolfe 1962
