Diamond Poem by Kim Aouad

Diamond

Rating: 5.0

At the end of the day, most of the ones you try to please will just take off and leave you stranded.. so why give more of yourself to someone, no matter who they are, than to yourself? To be honest, screw anyone who tells you to give more than you take.. 'Moral values' and bla bla bla.. Well screw that too! You don't always have to empty yourself of yourself to seem nice.. Giving? Give others, but always keep some for you; no one will be willing to give bavk what they gotfrom you. Caring? Care for and take care of others, but always care for and take care of yourself more; no one will care about or take care of you of you let them think that you come second. Love? Love others, but always love yourself more; no one will know your worth more than you do. [...] Self-sufficiency and self-worth are key to all good things in life.. If you always give more than you take or love more than you are loved, you will come to a point where you no longer have any of the above left for yourself.. Don't allow others to walk all over you.. You were not made a diamond to grant others the feeling of satisfaction when you are around but to be valuable and to shine bright.. Always remember that..

Love? Love others, but always love yourself more; no one will know your worth more than you do. You have the whole deal right here. I'll add this, I believe in giving of myself but I always remind myself that if I expect something in return, it is not giving it's selling. The greatest gift we can ever give another is respect. If it comes back to us, that's a darn good relationship.
