Did I Not Dream Us Last Night? Poem by Gio Masserati

Did I Not Dream Us Last Night?

Rating: 5.0

Dream,

Last night I didn't have a dream...

You were dancing and looking at me
So lovingly
We both were smiling
We were dressed for a party
That was already starting

I had promised
To never take my love away
From your being, so keenly aware
It was time to share
Love gifts
You'd made promises
Your love would be mine
It was a matter of time
This line
My love said it will
Always be yours
Time moonlighted mine
This same line
Yours mine
There were scores of songs
They, the songs, united hearts
Hearts overlapped
Where they finally belonged

Together in song

It's like they both crawled into a heart shaped cubbyhole of warm flesh and spooned in a fetal position, together, feeling safe.
They were finally at home...and could rest. Relaxing totally in who they really were individually and symbolically.
Now they could just breathe! Unconditionally!
To Be in a state of pure bliss and joy...they could now, just trust in their private cocoon of Love.

Together in song

We made seamless music
Music echoed through the night
Lightning up dark forests
Lighting up the unknown
The ocean swam
In the seas of our love
How satisfying each note played
Holding out as sweet solos
Gave way to duets blending melodies

Melodic dreams became a reality
Making it that night
In bistro moonlight love
Love enough to want to...
... want to dream some more

Did I dream us last night?
Last night, I didn't have a dream...

Poems can sometimes hide many things, But this one is pure Love More than anything! Just beautiful, flowing dreams, reality, love, togetherness and understanding.
