Did I Write That? Poem by Fred Babbin

Did I Write That?

Rating: 4.3

I believe that a good imagination can fight reality.

Did I write that?
I don’t believe it.
I am not that good.
But
The mind is better than the brain.
Iambic pentameter beats reality.

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

Poemhunter is slow for me today, but your poem was worth the wait. Great take on the creative process. I often ask that question as I read things I have written previously. Did I write that?

Oh yes, Fred, I agree - poems come about through something other than rational thinking.
