Did Tell You Different Poem by Francis Duggan

Did Tell You Different

The good years behind me old age is ahead
And too much about life I have written of and said
Though a rhymer by Nature my best years long gone
I must be addictive for to keep on rhyming on
Yet rhyme it is easy so easy for to write
For to understand, memorize and recite
Anybody can write rhyme is how it seems to be
It is not hard to do as most would agree
I have been a rhymer since nineteen seventy three
It is my love of rhyme made a rhymer of me
I am one who does love to write rhymes every day
Perhaps my addiction it does seem this way
And I hope to be rhyming until the day I do die
If I did tell you different this would be a lie.
