Didn't Want To Say Bye Poem by Timothy Kassina

Didn't Want To Say Bye

Rating: 3.5

I didn't want to say bye
Nor let go of you
But I shouldn't lie
For you have been true
You said there's no more love
Save the old memories
And so free like a dove
Release your worries
You again I won't trail
Neither seek your hand
Even if I am frail
Alone I'll stand
Self respect it is
To wave this bye
To end it like this
With a sigh and a cry
Love is full of riddles
Just like life itself
And when you see the ripples
Something touched the shelf
Love is an old puzzle
That young and old attempt
Tied like an ox to muzzle
Most leave hairs unkempt
I didn't want to say bye
Nor let go of you
But I shouldn't lie
For you have been true.
