A story told, a book for all,
But whispers rise, a changing call.
Rome wrote it down, with careful hand,
Then Luther came, to change the land.
A printer thought, of ink so dear,
Some pages gone, year after year.
But far away, a land so old,
Kept stories safe, and truth untold.
Ethiopia watched, with steady eye,
Their ancient words, beneath the sky.
Why change the tales, the light so bright?
To shape the path, and dim the light?
Or was it fear, of what they found?
New thoughts that bloomed, on sacred ground?
Or just the way, the world would bend,
And different minds, their meanings send.
The truth may shift, in how we see,
But roots run deep, for you and me.
What to believe? The heart can know,
When stories old, continue to grow.
