Dinosaur Poem by Pam Eszpnal

Dinosaur

I grasp onto every little promise I made searching for the right words to say.
I would keep my head in the clouds and not want to hear a sound.
I feel miracles flying between the winds as the lavender sky rises in a night so dim.
I feel like a hero, just holding and holding onto courageous memories that will never fade, keeping me the same.
I love dancing in the rain, but yet it makes me feel so powerless, wanting to keep my faith.
I sometimes feel afraid when you are no longer here, the thought of thinking this levels down to my fears.
I brought our timeless friendship to a great extent until you went.
Sometimes I could not see when tomorrow started without me.
It was just one of those days where I told my story trying to keep you really worried.
Okay, so let’s go dancing in the rain.
Because right now I got smiles in my heart waiting for your story to start.
This too shall pass, I feel like a dinosaur because I wonder as I wander.
So just tell me your story even though it is no better than my poetry.
