Disappointing Reflections Poem by Jaycee Wilkerson

Disappointing Reflections

I look in the mirror
I dont recognize
Who I see
Debating with myself
Could this possibly be me?

long stares turn
To deep thoughts
Of what i have become

Who am I?
What have i done?

With blank expressions
I unconsciously treat
Them as lessons
I interagrate myself
For hours
And wait
For mirror confessions

I admit it becomes
like a obsession
As my thoughts begin
To float each session

Visually hpynotize
With my blankness
My eyes pierce
Through the mirror
To my soul that means
I see no fake sh%t!

Which is why
This mirror
Is hard to face
Misplacing thoughts
Concentrating
On recognizing my face

Unearthing
Hidden talents
Realizing why ~
My reflection
Looks disgracing...
