Disappointment Poem by paige mee

Disappointment

The disapointment in my eyes aren't a guilt weapon.
It's real, But I'm used to you letting me down.
I think it's sad,
You think you make up for it by buying me things
Or letting me have friends over,
I guess I'm good at lieing and hiding my true feelings.
I'm used to using those skills,
But who gives me a reason to use them?
You.
I think you feel disapointed in yourself,
And you try to forget,
But everytime you look in my eyes,
You feel guilty and heavy and disapointed all over again.
I hide my feelings so you have an easier life.
And yet, You still haven't seen it.
You have quite an amount on your plate,
You're becoming over-welmed.
Everyone can see it.
Stop lieing to yourself,
This family is decaying.

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

This poem is truthfull, an eye opener, cuts through to the heart (of the matter) . As a father I can relate only to well. Too much work and not enough time spent with our kids (family) . Sad, honest.
