Disco Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Disco

Disco

They are
All
In the prisons of their clothes
Dresses
Tight shirts that show the tits

And I …

Like them, I, in a similar seat,
Facing the scene
Watch the Latino band playing

Fly …

My horse, my thoughts
Daydream
I am back in time
In San Antonio
In Laredo
And…and…
And…
I dance…
Even sexier than them.

Now …
Totally stranger

Instead
My eyes do the job
Verify the shapes and the size.

Look around
See some
Thanks to makeups
Fooling themselves
“I’m still young.”

I smile.
