Disconnected Poem by Tanner Istace

Disconnected

Rating: 5.0

not just about
what I perceived from your physical
manifestations stirring deeper emotions
not just
what i received from your spiritual
energies sparking higher cognitions
not
what i conceived from your reflection,
brirthed in a pool of hankering
for
but, oh a sweet one,
about
how you gave me insight
just about
how you gave me torment
not just about
how you gave me nothing
and, oh the truth,
on my obsessions:
i got it all from my own
experiences of happiness and self-odium
you were present,
                 but
i am,
         maybe,

too far
