Displeasure Poem by Hans Raj Sharma

Displeasure

Rating: 5.0

Clever- a few
Singing
Songs of their
Own praises
And powers
Exploiting
Every single one
Sparing none
Whenever
A youth
Tries to lead
Rooting
Him out
From his roots
Out casting
From the main
Stream
None can dare
Then to change
The dead and dull
Practice of
Wilderness
And outdated
Present organism.

Dreadful!
A glimpse
Of the hour
Devastating
And crumbling
Down
The social order!
The youths
Seem to be
In its prime
Helpless
Worldwide
Like dead wood
Of the jungle
Being used
As bone fire.

Crossing
Fruitlessly
Passing its time
Doing nothing
With the world
That way
Passes away
The whole of life
Each time
A nice morning
After every
Nice evening
And
A nice evening
After every
Nice morning
Disappearing
Futile.

God saves!
The youths
World over
Falling
Prey to the evil
Into the hands
Of prevailing
System
Inflicting
Suffocation
Causing overall
Displeasure.

Before its ruins
From top to bottom
Youths need change
To bring about
A sway of peace
And prosperity
Following
The course of nature
Fighting not the old
But, building the new
Composing
Free-for-all
Hardly matters
What it provides:
Punishment
Hate or despise.
