Dissipation. Poem by Peter Vealey

Dissipation.

Persuasion, Elevation, Escapism.
All things are possible,
Yet nothing is as clear.
As you would want for an Answer.
A new friend looks one way.
Others hide in soaps or alcohol.
Dissipation, Revelation!
All is nearly here!
Yet nothing remains certain.
A changing tapestry in an unchanging world.
The meaning of life,
It was just over there!
I saw it scuttle around the alley.
Could have sworn,
It would always keep me warm,
Why is there ice running through my veins
Today?
