Distance Poem by Tiya Sen

Distance

Now that the distance between us is vast,
an intricate web time can cast.
There is a limit for sweet nothings to last
warm embraces and tender kisses are all in the past.
There is a lot of space for insecurities and yearning
and even more chances for circumstances to sneak in.
But nothing compares to the fear of losing you
Nor is it close to the unwillingness of starting life anew.
If moments in the past are all that i can take with me,
then that is all i'll ever need to be happy.
For they are all that doesn't come with an expiry date,
they are untouchable and indestructible even by fate.
