Divine Diya Poem by Konalli Rajeev Naik

Divine Diya

Rating: 5.0

Pretty flames blow up
Divine Diya cheers
Timid darkness frowns
Burning crackers whistle

Frail tail shape
Cotton wick
Sips the sesame oil.
Wick's promising gleam
Greets divine beings
Who forever
Emanate nobility
And purity.
Ephemeral human hands
Stretch out to fill up
A handful of Diwali light.

Up the night sky
Dreams of lighting
The earthen lamps
Before the sunrise.
Even the frosted fields
Never send the jogging
Harsh wind near
The divine flame.

Lord Krishna's
Sudarshan disc ride
And Ram's unerring
Arrow race are
To dispel roaring giants
Who bustle as Diwali crackers.

Diya is ecstatic forever
Gushing sublime emission out.
