Divine Golden Gate Poem by Joyce Hemsley

Divine Golden Gate

In memory of John, my twin.

Teardrops fall from these blue eyes
As the memory of you never dies.
Always together...'Joyce and John'
But one is deceased, the other lives on.

My poor heart sank as I was so fond
The 'whole' was halved, for you had gone
I could not say 'Goodbye my twin'
Dear God, forgive this guilt within.

As flowers adorn your resting place,
I will remember your handsome face.
Your loving eyes and beautiful hair,
Few men on earth could ever compare.

We 'will' meet again, if we patiently wait
Through the Portal of Heaven; the divine
golden gate.
