Long gone
..Yesteryear
That 'Just Say No'
...Atmosphere

Gone the chant
'I hope he fails'
'How can we help'
..Whose thought dispels

...The bitter myth
We came to know
'Gridlocked Congress'
...Is the way to go

Four years prayer
...Passioned rent
'Spare us....God
..This President'

Perhaps God answered
On Election Day
...In that quaint..
Mysterious way

...To very same people
At the same old Place..
With a Changed Attitude
..For Goodness sakes
