Do Not Act Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Do Not Act

Sterilised

Ate pitch and the apple
Eat fruits, vegetables
Avoid pills and tablets
Do not like the doctors.

I am the child of Earth
I have been from birth.

Long before, when I could
I picked fruits from roots
From trees and sun-ripe
I ate them without wash
Most I did was to wipe.

Now I am seventy
Healthier than fifty.

People ask of my health
Look at me and wonder
"I took after mother, "
I tell them, I'm honest.

I was born on the dust
Cradle of clay was of dust
Microbes are part of me
The same with vitamins
I feed me with nature
As gives me my mother.

Drink milk directly of nipples
Of the goats-sheep or cattle's.

I hate the city life
This ugly sterilised…
