Do Not Judge Me If Poem by Francis Duggan

Do Not Judge Me If

Do not judge me if I do not believe in life after death
If I can only visualize a dark nothingness beyond my life's final breath
If you see me as damned well that suits me fine
Since what you think of me is no business of mine
If believing in your God makes you a better person I see that as great
And I do applaud you for your gift of faith
For to live as a good person is what does matter most
And to you and everyone like you I do drink a toast
But good people are not known to hold a grudge
And for their lack of faith others they do not judge
A good person for others in silence does pray
And negative things of those different to them they never do say
And if to your God why do you claim to be true
When you do trash talk me since I do not trash talk you.
