Do Something For Tomorrow, Today! Poem by Robert Edgar Burns

Do Something For Tomorrow, Today!

You try to put priorities
Ahead of all you do,
Then with all your busyness
Don’t look ahead of you!
If I have your attention,
Please heed these words I say,
“Do something for tomorrow, today! ”

Do something for tomorrow, today!
You have to do the laundry
And the kids still have to play.
But in the middle of your hurries,
Time seems to slip away, so
Do something for tomorrow, today!

Do something for tomorrow, today.
The words of this message
Could be taken at least two ways.
Lay up treasure now for Heaven
Is what I’m trying to say,
So, “Do Something For Tomorrow, Today! ”
