Do You? Poem by Igor Wolfson

Do You?

'Do you fear death? ', he asked in silence
As if death could be your last wish
You haven't seen his face, it's made of pure violence
His beard is his leash

'Do you fear love? ', he asked with passion
As an insane who needs your love
Who needs your infinite attention
Who needs you. Everything! And none of the above

'Do you find insanity the beautiful of things?
It either rids you of your vanity or just destroys everything',

And as he turned away he went on speaking
His voice has faded step by step
And you just stood there, eyes are blinking
Not even thinking... Not a regret...
