Do You Know What Love Feels Like? Poem by K K

Do You Know What Love Feels Like?

I'll tell you.
It's desperation filling your empty spots.
It's reassurance you'll give but never receive.
It's giving everything for nothing in return
It's saying I love you like it's the most dangerous sentence you could ever speak.
It's pulling out your teeth so they can talk.
It's tretcheous faith.
And you'll die for it.
You'll love for it.
You'll rearrange your mind to fit to theirs.
It's torture.
And it's what you are made for.
Right?
Love is realizing you are made for something else.
Something you've never believed in.
It'll Rearange your brain into something malleable.
They'll fix it up to their liking and leave you with something you dont recognize.
It's beautiful.
It's what you're made for.
Right?
You're supposed to be the cherished 1950s version of what their mind perspectives.
You're encouraged to walk on eggshells so that they can breathe.
You're supposed to be perfect.
No one is perfect.
Here's an idea…
Love is everlasting regardless
Love is an avalanche that leaves you thanking god everything worked out.
Love is knowing you can be yourself.
And they won't leave.
What is love to you?
Because to me is bursting at the seams of possibility.
Love is growing uncontrollably.
Love is every inch of me swallowed saying I FUCKING LOVE YOU.
How can that be?
It's not understandable it is everything.
It is living for.
It is love.
It is not a definition.
