Do you remember when we met?
You were awfully cute and I tried not to stare
Silly to think a guy like you
would even give me a second glare

But we ended up talking a lot that night
I guess we clicked because we kept in touch
Fancy that, you even wanted to see me before you left
You surprised me again, very much

A day that turned out way better than expected
At some point in the night, you even made me shy
I was speechless because I was just trying
to read what might be on your mind

The weather was on our side that night though
Too cold to stand alone on the pier
A perfect excuse to be close to you
To be held in your arms, so near

Do you remember thinking that was going
to be our last night? I do
Didn't hit me until later the next day
When I got that bracelet from you

I meant more to you than I knew
And you started meaning more to me too
with every passing minute in the day
my mind was only thinking of you

I can't tell you enough how different
You make me feel
I will miss your touch, your kisses, while you're gone
Oh, I really will...
