Do You See That Soldier
Do you see that soldier
That could be you or me
But he was the chosen one
To go across To help set us free
He will miss his family
As well as his friends
There will be many of night
He'll need your prayer you send
As he lays in that airport
Waiting for his military ride
He catches some shut-eye
With his best friend by his side
Some might frown upon him
For having his dog right there
For it is out in the public
It might be their last share
He's about to fight for freedom
For the likes of me and you
So don't sneer your nose at him
For he could be one of a chosen few
So if you see that soldier
Give him a salute and a hug
For he is some mothers son
Not trash you sweep under the rug
Just think to yourself
What if it was your child
Would you sneer at him
Or feel all meek and mild
