Do You Think... Poem by craig norris

Do you think we can now and then
take time out from this world of men
to consider other things than lust
and how to grind lives into dust?
these days are fueled by want and greed
it takes a thousand cuts to bleed
corrosive images on screens are placed
that rob our children of their grace
while men exercise their lies
before all nations tired eyes
this paradigm must be shattered
or past sacrifices will not have mattered
it is up to you and up to me
to reject this abysmal conformity.
